Sigh. I'm bored.
I've been waiting for the pest-control guy to make his scheduled appointment since 9:00 this morning. So far, no show. Which means I'm missing work. Which is a problem, since another deadline looms ever closer.

Argh!

To combat my boredom, I've been refreshing Slashdot and My LJ friends like mad, but you people just don't post enough! ;)

I also commented a list of my hobbies to [info]mckitterick's post, but I'll put 'em here, too. (Props for the idea go to [info]adammaker)

Hrm. All my hobbies would be too numerous to mention. (I really don't like being bored.) But I'll hit the highlights: (There is no order here -- I alternate rapidly between them all)
  • Making things:

    • Furniture
    • (Re)building the house
    • Working on cars

  • Computer things:

    • Programming
    • Playing with Sys Admin stuff
    • Blog reading (LJ and elsewhere)

  • Social:

    • Playing Pool
    • Poker (Hold'em, mainly)
    • Rockabilly stuff (1950s rock-and-roll, hotrods, etc...)
    • Clubbing/Bar Hopping/Hanging out with this group (this is new to me -- I'm traditionally not so social!)
    • Movies (Watching movies with others has always seemed "social" to me. </a></b></a>[info]chernobylred doesn't think so. So I'm movie-deprived. If anyone wants to watch movies, let me know!

  • Outdoors:

    • Motorcycling (I really need to fix my bike!)
    • Playing frisbee golf
    • Playing paintball
    • Barbequeing
Despite the long list, I'm sure I've missed some...

I'm working from home too. We should get together for lunch. When is pest control supposed to be there?

I'm at home because I overslept.

That would have been splendid. Except that I wasn't supposed to be working from home today -- I was supposed to be late to work.

So instead, I ended up getting here at 11:30. Very late to work. ;)

Sorry the lunch plans didn't work out... :(

I was afraid of the incriminations that might come from your direction should I claim that as a hobby. I do try (I did dishes last night!) -- does that count?

pooch and I enjoy hold'em - maybe we could all play sometime?
movies - pooch has a much wider range of movies he enjoyes then I do and considers it social - so you can goto movies with him.
