Funny amazon story
I thought this was kind of funny: I know they're fluff, but I've enjoyed Stephen King books since I was a kid. One series in particular that I enjoy is the Dark Tower series. I've been anxiously waiting for the next installment to be released, and was considering pre-ordering it from Amazon the other day.

So I did a search, found it, and then glanced at the "Best Value" section, where they usually combine a book that will satisfy similar interests. Apparently Amazon thinks that the next installment of Stephen King's apocalyptic western fantasy would match nicely with (get this:) The Sex Lives of Cannibals!

It was funny enough that I captured the image:

Interesting. I would guess it's more a comment upon the author or genre than the particular novel, right?

That's what I thought at first, until I read a description of the book. The main character in the SLOC falls "into one amusing misadventure after another." This sounds a lot more like Tom Robbins than Stephen King. (King's main characters usually fall into one big (not-so-amusing) adventure which usually claims the lives of entire neighboring towns.) ;)

Hmmm. Maybe they didn't compare the descriptions and are just linking genre or related-genre bits by popularity and in need of popularity?
