The 4th, Part Two
Because some people apparently can't be bothered to re-read my posts, they hadn't realized that I've posted updates to our Independence Day bash at my brothers house.

(Directions to his place are now provided, along with a brief run-down of fireworks I've purchased.)

Bite you, huh? Have any particular place in mind? ;)

Yours is a common opinion, apparently -- several people have now informed me that I should put updates in new posts. I just thought that it would be nice to keep all the related information in the same post.

But the world is against me...
sigh.

Nothing "common" about it. It's not that the world is against you, merely asking for some consideration. Some of us post more often than once a month, are too overburdened in our own reading to constantly re-read your (usually un-updated, unchanged) journal, and are otherwise more actively involved in LJ. If you want to keep your information in the same post, it will get greater distribution if you also post a current day statement to inform us of your edit.

Instead of feeling martyred, consider this: your readers simply don't want to miss a single word that you care to share. But once you get their attention, your readers will flock to whatever event you are proscribing.
